Website Development is not much differnt from any marketing project. The
sequence is:

Assessing marketing requirements and goals.
Researching and evaluating industry “best practices”.
Establishing page structure.
Copywriting.
Photography.
Documenting site structure and content.
Site design.
Coding.

The last 2 items, site design and coding, are what most people associate with
website design, and typically represent about 1/3 of the time and expense of the complete
process (for a “static” site). Companies that come to us with well defined objectives, ideas,
copy, photography and research can expect to get a website up and running much quicker
and for a lot less money.

For a static website , we charge $575 for the Home Page and $350 for each additional page
for site design and coding only . We are happy to provide a quotation for any
additional services required.

Dynamic websites with Flash , Database Content , or Content Management can be
relatively simple or wildly complex, and it is best to quote these individually. Our hourly rates
range from $55 to $100, depending on skill level required. As general guidelines, you can
expect
e-commerce to add at least $2,500 to site costs, and a database application to
add at least $3,500 to site costs.

Terms and Definitions :
If you're new to website development, you'll find the following terms useful:

Content Management System – A software system that acts as a bridge between website
programming and what users see on their computer screens, and provides an easy way to
keep website content updated.

Dynamic Content – Website content that is updated by an automatic process, through a content
management system, or by input from a site visitor. Dynamic websites are more programming
intense than static websites.

Database Driven Website Content – Website content (such as product information)
that resides in a relational database. This allows content to be easily updated, sorted, and
searched.

E-commerce Website – If you wish to sell a product directly through the internet, an e-commerce
site is required. These sites incorporate everything necessary to move a customer through the
selection and purchasing process including, of course, secure payment through credit
card or other means.

Flash Websites – Flash is a software design tool for creating animation, motion,
and movement, and inserting video and audio into a website.

Static Content – Website content that is set in code and is appropriate when
information isn't expected to change frequently. Static sites are often called
“brochure sites” because they serve a function similar to a printed brochure.
